Why performance based payments need to be an incentive not a disincentive

Many believe agency performance payments and payments for results don’t work. But that is because most have used these payments not as an incentive but as a huge disincentive. Make the carrot bigger than the stick and it can work a treat. 
 
 

Why working / non-working ratios no longer work for advertising

Reducing non-working spend sounds like a good idea, right? But the problem is it is language from 20 years ago that has almost no relevance in a digital world. In fact it is downright misleading today and should be scrapped. 
 
 

Do you remunerate or compensate your agency?

Do you remunerate or do you compensate your agencies? You may think there is no difference. They are synonyms. But there is a subtle difference that expresses your attitude towards your agency relationship. Do you know what that is? 
 
     

How many billable hours are there in a year?

If you are still working with agency retainers then the issue of billable hours per person will definitely be an issue. Too high and too low both have impacts on the retainer calculations and the result.
