Global Marketing Management Update

16 December 2020

Welcome to the December edition of TrinityP3’s e-news

What a roller coaster ride 2020 has been. It feels like the longest year ever. We all deserve a well-earned break. Time to refresh, recharge and reconnect. While maintaining COVID-safe practices.

The end of year break is not only a time to rejuvenate and relax. It is also time to prepare for the year ahead. An opportunity to make sure you’re ready to start the New Year with a fresh focus.

So, we have prepared a number of different ways to help you. You can listen, read or watch. It is up to you to choose the way that suits you best to relax and reinvigorate.

We wish you and your family and loved ones a safe and happy holiday and look forward to working together managing marketing in 2021.

A whole holiday of listening

The Managing Marketing podcasts has had an interesting year this year. A weekly podcast, the start of the year was a series of episodes I recorded late last year in the UK and Singapore. Then the pandemic hit and suddenly I was grateful for being so far ahead with recording face-to-face episodes on my travels.

Effectively grounded for the duration, it was a matter of adapting. Interestingly the number of episode plays dropped significantly in the early days of the pandemic, with a 30% fall reported globally as people stopped commuting to work (a prime podcasting time). But the audience bounced back with strong growth in more than 50 markets.

So, here is an opportunity to catch up on hours of conversations on marketing, media and advertising during the holidays. There are almost 200 episodes of the Managing Marketing podcast and they are available on Spotify, Google Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher and Tune In.

A whole holiday of watching

This year, as the world went into lockdown, we made the decision to revise our webinar series from 2018. Between April and December, we held 18 one-hour free webinars on topics as diverse as resilience to storytelling, to agency new business, environment sustainability and educating the marketing industry.

Some of these webinars were opportunities for the TrinityP3 consultants to share their knowledge and expertise from locations around the world. But more were designed to draw industry experts into the community and provide them a platform to share their knowledge.

You can view the one-hour webinar episodes here.

But if your attention does not run to an in-depth one-hour webinar. Perhaps we can interest you in a Golden Minute. In fact, perhaps 52 Golden Minutes. We set ourselves the challenge of distilling more than 50 of the industry issues and challenges into their own one-minute video. The Golden Minute. You can hear them all here .

Have a healthy break. We are.

TrinityP3 is officially closed from Friday 18 December 2020 to Monday 4 January 2021. If you have decided to use the break to prepare for the year ahead or you have an emergency, you can contact us here .

A whole holiday of reading

It has been a busy year too. More than 150 articles on the TrinityP3 website. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, we publish a new article capturing the trends, issues and best practice in the industry. From agency fees to pitching, media value and marketing procurement, digital, data, social media and more.

Increasingly the TrinityP3 content is being shared and commented on by industry commentators around the world and regularly appearing in industry trade media including Campaign, The Drum, Media Village and more.

Catch up with the whole lot here .

But if you want a more in-depth read, perhaps you are interested in one of the TrinityP3 white papers. The white papers include in-depth reviews of managing scope of work, research into the environmental impact of point of sale, the Scope Metric methodology for creative and media and more.
