So it is coming up to planning time, the question is, what is it you are planning to have your agency or agencies do for you in the next 12 months for you? It’s defining a scope of work. Having a detailed a scope of work means rather than just retaining agency resources, you pay for the value of the work they do. Then there is performance based fees where instead of paying for people or the work they do you pay for the results their work delivers. This means the way you pay your agency defines if they are a cost, a value or an investment. But often the way many parketers pay their agencies has not changed for years.
